English subtitles are not displaying when watching The Raid: Redemption (Unrated). Ive attempted to turn on english subtitle(close caption) through a variety of ways. By selecting auto, english CC in the movie, from selecting subtitles in settings, through my Roku TV. Nothing displaying english subtitles.

Subtitle options can vary by title and by the country or region where the title has been made available. So what is the country or country-like region as set for your Apple ID account?
For the US, there is no Unrated version of this title on the iTunes Store. Just the R rated with English CC.
For Canada, only the French dubbed version is on the iTunes Store. No English subtitles available.
For the UK, this title is not on the iTunes Store.
I'm dealing with this issue, too. I redeemed the digital code I got with my 4K copy of The Raid in the U.S., which gave me an HD copy of the theatrical cut and the 4K copy of the unrated. The theatrical cut plays just fine with English subtitles, but it lacks the updated color correction of the 4K. The 4K copy, however, has no subtitles at all. I tried playing it on my phone, laptop and TV to see if it might have been some weird hardware issue — it's not.
Movies Anywhere, which the digital code was redeemed through, told me the 4K version of The Raid is not available on any of the other platforms it can connect to like Amazon, Vudu and iTunes/Apple TV. It's been very frustrating.
yep, same thing for me too as of Feb 18th - Unrated cut 4k version on Apple TV has no option anywhere for english subtitles. the physical copy of the movie , yes. Movies Anywhere digital version, yes. Apple TV, no.
