CarPlay Blocks Use of Playlists While Driving

Does any one know how to stop CarPlay from preventing access to playlists while driving? It seems that Apple has opted for an incredibly counter-productive and shortsighted 'nanny' feature in newer versions of CarPlay. Basically, when my car moves at all, access to Playlists is completely locked out. Even within the currently active playlist, I am prevented from seeing more than 5 songs! In other words, it renders the entire concept of Playlists totally useless while driving. This insane 'feature' also doesn't let my wife, the passenger, use the playlists either. There is simply no way while the car is moving for anyone to use Playlists in the way that all of us have been doing for 15+ years now. Instead, I'm currently forced to pick up my phone and scroll through the playlists on it while driving (clearly the safer option). I find Apple's decision to impose this block-out on such a basic, long time function arrogant and infuriating. Does anyone know how to circumvent this ridiculous limitation? Any third-party apps or tricks? (And Apple, please come to your senses and ditch this antiquated, arrogant, anti-consumer nanny feature asap and give us back the functionality of playlists in our cars that we are all used to having since the time of CDs!)

I have been on the phone with Apple and with Toyota for a month now because I have seen same issue in my ‘24 Camry. Apple support says it’s not their issue. Toyota says it’s a”safety feature” Apple added to keep us focused on the road . That’s ridiculously counter productive as it will just cause people to go to their phone instead of the car play screen. I sick to death of these corporate know it alls trying to police my actions.
