The audio is cutting out and crackling when I record in Logic

When I record with my microphone it is very quiet, it crackles, and it cuts out. I have swapped out my microphones, interface, and everything external so I ruled that out as the problem. I took my computer to an Apple store and they cleaned out the ports and re-installed the OS and I still had the same problem. Does anyone know what could be causing this? I have an M1 MacBook Pro. It has worked fine for a long time and just now stopped working, it may have been because of the new update to Logic Pro.

Check the Control Center on the top right of MacOS menu bar. It's where your volume control, network setting etc are located. You should see a microphone while Logic is running. Click on it and change to standard.
