Videos recorded with Camera app wont play

None of the videos on my phone will play. They are recorded on iPhone so there’s no import whatsoever.

Video failed to import than disappeared I use this app to take videos on my phone secretly called CandidRecorder I recorder my video like I have done before and then it tell me that the video failed to import to my photos, I have checked my deleted album and found nothing, is there anyway for me to find videos that failed to import to the photos app on my phone(the videos are not stored in the app and I cannot attempt to try to import the video Gaian because it is not an option in the app)Any suggestions or Simone that could help me?

iPhone won't play video that was just recorded For the last few weeks, any video on my camera roll will not play. I can record a video and send it to other people, but it will not playback on my phone—same situation with anything downloaded. If I download a TikTok straight from the app, I can send it to others but it will not play on my phone. I can't even scrub through the videos -all I can see is the first initial frame. Everything is downloaded to iCloud correctly. Video plays on all my other devices normally and video airdropped from my phone to my mac plays normally as well. Any help would be appreciated!

Camera roll videos don’t play, unless I restart phone. Then they work for an hour or so and it happens again Non of the videos will play in my camera roll. The solutions I’ve found so far are send them by text or WhatsApp and I can see them there or restart phone, then it works for an hour or two. I use my phone to do social media for my work so it’s becoming a real problem. mine is the iPhone 12 Pro Max, uptodate iOS etc. iIce tried looking it up but I just get info on watching videos in TikTok or Facebook etc when this is just ones on my phone. I can literally just take a video, and not be able to play it.

Are you using iCloud Photos and "Optimize iPhone Storage"? Then Photos will need to be able to download the videos from iCloud before they can play. So you need a working internet connection and enough free storage on your iPhone, so they can be stored locally on your iPhone. And also free storage in iCloud. Your iCloud storage must not be full, or iCloud may no longer work properly.

Do you have plenty of free storage on the iPhone? Are there any problems with your iCloud Storage?

thanks for the response. I have 200gb space on icloud, very strong internet as well. it’s not photos that’s the problem, it’s the videos I recorded with iPhone that will joy play. It will play in WhatsApp and Signal when send it there though.
