Unable to purchase multiple versions of a movie

I went to purchase a movie today and there were two versions listed, the regular version and extended version. I was going to purchase both versions but as soon as I purchased the extended version the other version was hidden from the purchase options. Before the update I was able to go into iTunes and purchase both versions of the movie. It seems the latest update to Apple TV doesn’t give us an option to purchase multiple versions of the same movie. I found someone complaining about the same issue on Reddit. Has anyone found a solution now that everything was removed from iTunes?
