Screenshots no longer allow the option to edit directly after taking them

When taking a screenshot the photo instantly saves to the photo gallery instead of turning the screen white and moving to the corner of the touch screen, where you’re usually able to tap it to edit it, delete, or copy and delete, etc. After the intial screenshot if i take another screenshot the screen will turn white and i can edit it. Seemed to start after the ios 17 update.
