I own Complete Series TV shows - How do I skip to a different Season?

I used to watch my purchased TV shows in the Itunes TV Shows app on my Apple TV box. Now Apple no longer lets us use that app and redirects us to the Apple TV app. The problem is when I go to my purchased TV shows in the Apple TV app, it does not have any of the shows checked off that I already watched in the Itunes TV app. Since I'm up to Season 6 of the series, every time I go into the Apple TV app I must painstakingly scroll to the right for a very long time to get past every episode in the past 5 seasons until I can get to Season 6 and then start watching from where I left off. Then the next day when I go to watch the show again, same problem I must scroll back again.

How do I a) mark the older episodes as watched and b) skip ahead to the future episode I want without painstakingly scrolling through hundreds of episodes?
