Has anyone else noticed that every watch face you swipe to momentarily shows the time as 10:09:30 before switching to the actual time. I tried a restart, but it behaves the same way. I wonder where it takes its time from? The day and date appear to be correct.
Just thought it was a quirky thing to be doing.

@TheBionicGolfer: Ha! Yes. I never paid attention to it either until I got used to a seamless watch face swiping experience that was central to how I navigated the watch - and then they took it away from us!
I am thankful they brought the ease of changing watch faxes again, but I do think they need to stay true to the high quality Apple experience and restore keeping the clock and complications live on watch screens when swiping.

In Watch OS 9, the time stays exactly the same across all watch faces when swiping. When the watch face is pressed and held to change it in Watch OS 9, the time changes to 10:09:30. I suspect they changed something in the architecture of the app to not have all watch faces running in the background. So with the new “feature” they seem to be recreating the workflow of 1) press and hold to change the watch face, 2) select the next watch face causing the time to change to 10:09:30, 3) exit the watch face change workflow.
Software duct tape, it seems.
Thanks Jeff, you know, I hadn’t noticed before that, when you long press the face to go into swipe mode (as in the old way before the update) and,’if wanted, to edit the face, that the time immediately changes on the face to 10:09:30, as do all the others,
until one is selected as “Live” again.
Isn't it always the little things that keep intelligent minds fascinated? Haha
