Can’t turn off Now Playing on Lock Screen.

I have tried all of the suggestions for turning off Now Playing on my Lock Screen. None of them work without disabling features I need. What to do?

iPhone 14 Pro Max, iOS 17

Why should I have to do that? I paid $1,400 for a phone. A simple setting to turn it off regardless of what’s running in the background is the better solution.

It’s an ecosystem solution. Isn’t that what we’re all paying for?

You left an app playing. As long as the app is playing it will appear on the Home screen, by design. That’s a feature, so you can start and stop entertainment without having to unlock your phone.
