Issues with iOS 17.2 Update affecting Car's Heads-Up Display

I don’t know if this is the right place to say this but I wanted to bring something to attention. Here is an issue I've encountered since updating my iPhone 13 Pro Max to the latest iOS 17.2. The update is interfering with the functionality of my car's Heads-Up Display (HUD), particularly when using CarPlay.

I drive a 2021 Hyundai Sonata Limited, and prior to the update, I would use both CarPlay and the car's built-in navigation system to display directions on the HUD. However, since installing iOS 17.2, any attempt to input directions through CarPlay results in the automatic cancellation of the car's native navigation system and vice versa.

To eliminate the possibility of a device or vehicle-specific issue, I conducted a test using my sister's phone, which had not yet been updated to iOS 17.2. With her phone, I was able to input CarPlay directions while the car's navigation continued to run in the background, seamlessly projecting onto the HUD.

Anythoughts of what I should do?

It reset the restrictions and content settings. Just go Settings - ScreenTime - Content &Restrictions- Retoggle the Content/Restrictions to enable, then Allowed Apps and make sure CarPlay is enabled or re enable that. If using usb replug in the phone again and it should work.

which I did but it still having problems connecting .

I haven't been able to connect my 2021 X5 (running iDrive 7) to CarPlay ever since dealer upgraded software on my car to version 11/2023 last week. Have tried everything including rebooting iPhone and iDrive. I was using iOS 17.2 and today I updated to 17.2.1 still not working. I brought car back to dealer and the guy there couldn't figure out either. However, he's able to connect to CarPlay on my car using his iPhone running iOS 17.1.
