M1 Pro (14 inch) MacBook Pro displaying incorrect date and time.

Haven't really done any installations or uninstallations in the last 2 months other than updating the OS to macOS 14.1.1 (Sonoma) on 16-11-23. The issue was observed for the first time around a week ago. I have only tried restarting the Mac a couple of times which didn't fix the issue. Running the device by setting the time manually for now, but need it reverted to automatic. TIA for the help.

MacBook Pro 14″, macOS 14.1

I'm having the same problem with my MBPro late 2019 Intel i9 with Sonoma 14.1.2

Regardless of time server used, when I choose automatic time updating, it goes back to a date and time in August 2022.

I have tried the terminal command: sudo sntp -sS time.apple.com

--- This works until the laptop goes to sleep or is restarted and then back to the original problem.

Also tried NVRAM and SMC resets with no luck.

Currently working around the problem by setting the date and time manually. Is this a Sonoma glitch?
