iOS updates generally aim to enhance user experience, boost security, and fix bugs rather than disrupt core features. Touch Sensitivity issues after updates might stem from underlying, unmentioned factors. Updates won't typically alter personal data but may refine settings or features. Backup before major updates for safety. Review Apple's update details and backup advice for a smooth process.

This seems purely coincidental so please check the Setting on your device. Adjust how iPhone responds to your touch - Apple Support (IN)

This just happened to my wife's iphone 15 max pro when the screen came back from the 17.1.2 update. All buttons work and calls come through to watch, but touch screen is unresponsive. Up volume button then down volume button then hold side button till logo reboots the phone but the touch screen feature is still unresponsive. Any suggestions. (This worked just fine before the update.)
