Trouble with Screen Mirroring (Sidecar) on MacBook Air M2 Pro and iPad Air (5th generation)
Dear Support Team,
I recently purchased a MacBook Pro with M2 Pro, running macOS Sonoma 14.1.1, and an iPad Air (5th generation) with iPadOS 17.1.1. Unfortunately, I'm encountering issues with the Sidecar feature.
Despite following various suggestions from similar posts (e.g., "sidecar not available in m2 macbook pro 13 - Apple Community"), the issue persists. My specific problem is that my MacBook Pro does not seem to recognize my iPad Air for wireless Sidecar functionality. While my iPad can mirror its screen to my Mac, the reverse is not true; my Mac doesn't detect my iPad.
The core issue is that the Sidecar feature seems to be missing from my Mac. When I search in the settings, I'm unable to find the option for Sidecar, nor do I see the '+' button that typically indicates the feature.
My iPad successfully mirrors its screen onto my Mac, yet the Mac does not recognize or detect the iPad when attempting to establish a connection for screen mirroring.
Currently, the only way I can use my iPad as an external display is through a wired connection. However, this method doesn't allow me to use features like Universal Clipboard or seamless photo sharing.
I would appreciate any assistance or guidance you can provide to resolve this issue.
Best regards,
Dario
