No sound on Apple Watch SE after latest update.

I have the Apple Watch SE (iOS 10.1.1) and iPhone 12 Pro Max (iOS 17.1.1) and after the last update to the watch, I no longer have sounds.

I have read every string in this forum related to "no sound on watch" and have tried every option given.

Hapatics work, but not sound.

I have unpaired the devices and re-paired them (multiple times).

I have checked all sound/hapatic settings on the watch and in the watch app on the phone.

I have restarted both devices (multiple times).

I have ensured the volume is all the way up, the silent mode is off, do not disturb/focus are off, cover to mute is off, and theater mode is off.
