ipad mini 2 disabled connect to itunes

i forgot my password for my ipad mini 2. after too many failed attempts to log in ipad displayed "ipad is disabled-connect to itunes". every time i try to connect the device to itunes it never shows up. iv redownloaded the itunes app several times. iv made sure that its up to date. iv tried several different cords from old cords to brand new cords. iv used 2 diffrent computers, one was a all in one windows 11, and the second was a brand new outta the box windows 11 2 in 1 laptop.

im frustrated because i know how the process works cause iv had the same issue with an ipod 6th generation and 2 of the first ipod touches and had no problems with the itunes recognizing the device.

how do i get my device to show up in my itunes?

If your iPad Mini 2 is not showing up in iTunes despite multiple attempts, try the following steps:

1. **Update iTunes:**

Ensure that you have the latest version of iTunes installed on your computer.

2. **Restart Computer:**

Sometimes, a simple restart of your computer can resolve connectivity issues.

3. **Different USB Port:**

Connect your iPad to a different USB port on your computer.

4. **Trusted Connection:**

Make sure to select "Trust" on your iPad when prompted after connecting it to the computer.

5. **Recovery Mode:**

Put your iPad into recovery mode and then connect it to iTunes. Follow Apple's instructions for your specific iPad model.

6. **Check for Drivers:**

Confirm that the necessary drivers are installed for your iPad on your Windows computer.

7. **Firewall/Antivirus:**

Temporarily disable your firewall or antivirus software, as they might interfere with the connection.

8. **Another Computer:**

Try connecting your iPad to a different computer to see if the issue persists.

If these steps don't resolve the problem, you may want to contact Apple Support for further assistance.
