Changed last name

My email is showing my previous last name what is the best way to update or am I doomed and have to create another email and move all of my iCloud stuff to a new one?

Name change not updating in mail I changed my name last year. I have changed in on my Apple ID, my Contact card, and everywhere else I can think of, including Settings -> Mail -> Accounts -> iCloud -> Name, Phone Numbers, Email -> Name. In most places, it shows up correctly. But when I send an email, the contact displays as my old name, and if they reply, in the thread it says “On {date}, {old name} {emailaddress@icloud.com} wrote:” How do I get my old name to stop displaying there? I’m tired of being addressed that way.

Name change. Need new apple email and not lose everything! Hi! Surely Apple has realized that it is a fact of life that people change their names (marriage, divorce, preferrence). There must be a process to do this without losing everything!?! So, what are the steps? 1) I need a new apple email address 2) I need to switch my apple id to my new apple email address 3) I need to not lose everything (contacts, calendar, iMessages, emails) in the switch over Help please!

You cannot edit an iCloud email address, but you can keep the same account and start using an alias going forward. Add and manage email aliases for iCloud Mail on iCloud.com - Apple Support
