Apple typically has a dedicated support system for trade-ins and purchases made through their official channels. If there's an issue with a trade-in, they often have procedures in place to investigate and assist customers. However, the specific resolution might vary based on individual circumstances and the available information you can provide.

When contacting Apple Support, it's crucial to share all the details, including proof of purchase, shipment records, and any relevant communication regarding the trade-in. Sometimes, they might escalate the matter internally or work with their partners involved in the trade-in process to find a resolution.

While there are no guarantees, reaching out to Apple Support is a good step to take in such a situation. They may offer guidance, investigate the matter, or provide alternatives to help address the issue.

It's also essential to consider reaching out to the shipping company or service used to send the device, as they might have their investigation procedures for lost or missing items during transit. This dual approach could potentially lead to a faster resolution.

Same thing happened to me also in November 2023. I requested for Apple to cancel my trade in and send me back my Apple 12. I received an empty box which had been opened. The worst thing is that I requested to get the phone back just to check if some of the photos of my son birth were still on it after the iCloud failed to sync. Royal Mail is full of thieves - why is Apple dealing with them?
