The 'quick crop' button which appears in the top right when zooming in on a photo in iOS 17 is quite distracting and annoying for me.
I understand that some people appreciate the convenience but I'm not keen - any way to disable this at the moment?
I know it disappears after a while.

Me too. Really, really messes with my OCD and my focus. iPhone’s used to have an expansive, uninterrupted experience to view and pan beautiful photos… and this is the ultimate distraction. I think Apple even knows this as the crop button is edited out in the iPhone 15 ad when the person pans in on a photo.
All I can suggest is www.apple.com/feedback, I’ve reported it a few times.
I hope they give us a toggle option in settings, ASAP.

Please add a toggle to the Photos settings so you can turn off the annoying and distracting crop popup button that was added to Photos. This distracting and annoying design change pops up any time you interact with the photo. This is an active and unnecessary annoyance that detracts from the Photos experience and you should be able to turn it off. Please add a toggle to this annoyance. Thank you.
Feel free to send it in your own variation. This is a super annoying design change and super easy to fix too in the settings.

I was asking if there was a setting that I’d missed to disable it, and start a discussion with other users who might share my view - that’s the purpose of these forums.
No need for clairvoyance, just avoid unjustified assumptions - there was nothing in my post suggesting I thought Apple read these forums.
I was just asking a question and opening a discussion for anyone interested.

We're not clairvoyant so we have to get down to the lowest common denominator.
We're all end uses like yourself here. Apple engineers do no read these posts. Tell Apple what new features you'd like to see added to the iOS via iPhone Feedback.
