Nike Run Club App will not display on Apple Watch Series 3

You are exactly correct.

NRC is only no longer support OS older than OS9. Apple Watch3 doesn't or can't update to OS9, so we are out of luck.

I purchased Apple Watch Nike purposely in hoping that NRC will be support the rest of it lifespan. It is disappoint to see a large business such Nike not supporting their legacy apps. I am no longer buy Nike product and switching to Adidas instead and using ASICS running apps instead.

It’s unfortunate that Apple and Nike can’t resolve this problem, I’ve been using NRC from nike on my Apple Watch many years, and out of the blue, it doesn’t support it any more.

¡Hope they can resolve this problem, that looks easy and funny, JUST DO IT!!

This is quite disappointing. After 10 years of using the Nike App I either need to get a new watch, Apple needs to update Series 3 or Nike needs to make an update? I called Nike and it was no help at all and extremely frustrating as their phone system is also apparently glitching for days now.

I have been communicating with Apples Support, who have been through everything with me. It's now been established that the NRC app needs to run on a later version of the Apple Watch 3 most recent update. The latest AppleWatch 3 update is 8.8.1, but the NRC runs on a more advanced version, 9 something.

Therefore the Apple Watch 3 may not ever be compatible with NRC again; unless, of course, Nike remedy this.

I am having the same issue on an iPhone 11 and Apple Watch Series 3. The issue started after the last app update that was sent out about a week ago. Hopefully Nike is aware of the problem.
