Use 2 different payment methods for 2 different apps.

I have a few subscriptions on the app store and I want to use different payment methods for each. For one subscription I want to use a debt card and another I want to use a credit card and a third subscription I'd like to use my Apple ID balance.

Right now it looks like I can only use the Apple ID balance until it runs out then it will use only the top listed card unless I reorder the cards during the month (before a subscription renews).

It's late 2023, can't we get this fixed? Should be able to decide when subscribing to an app what funding source to use individually!

You can have a credit card / debit card on file and an Apple Account balance.

Your default payment method will be used first by Apple when you need to make a payment.

If you have set your Apple Account balance as your default payment method and you have a CC / debit card, you pay from your default payment method.

If you have 2 CC, and you have set one CC as your default payment method that will be charge by Apple.

Yes, I have all those listed (1 debt card, 1 credit card & an Apple Account balance). The problems are

The Apple Account balance cannot be moved from the default position.
I cannot assign one card to be dedicated to one App only and the other card to other apps - the cards are all or none - unless I switch the default during the month and only after the Apple Account balance has reached zero.

The bigger question is how do you remove your Apple Account balance to NOT be the default payment method.
