M2 Mac mini trade in serial number invalid

I was looking into hypothetically trading in my m2 Mac mini for a MacBook instead. However my M2 Mac mini serial number is invalid on the trade in website, and although it goes thru the website doesn’t seem to know what model I have and the m2 model isn’t an option at all. Is this bc it’s still relatively new? When will it be eligible, or is it eligible for trade in credit in store? And how much would it be eligible for if so?
