Maps and Contacts issue iOs17.1

Using the search function in Maps for a contact yields “no matching places found. Edit search”. Same thing happens when I press on the map or address in Contacts. Annoying. i have to copy and paste addresses.

iPhone Apple Maps doesn't find name/address in Contacts I recently noticed that Apple Maps does not find a defined contact and address when Searching for the name. Instead it returns Web based searches for names that barely match. This happens on different iPhone models as well. both voice and keyboard commands operate this way.

Maps is not using contact address as is for "home location". I have an issue where Maps (IOS and MacOS) is not using the full address of my contact card but only the street name, then filling the blank with whatever information it finds leading to have a correct address in the contact card (which works fine when manually entered in Maps) but a wrong Maps preview and wrong default home location in Maps. This is clearly an issue for me with Maps trying to be smart by only taking a subset of the address. Anyone else has the same issue? How to make a bug report? (it's really annoying)

Can’t updated Contact from Maps, after updating to IOS 16.1.2 I updated IOS to 16.1.2 today (Nov 30, 2022), afterwards I attempted to update/add a Contact from Maps, but couldn’t, the feature is no longer listed at the bottom of a place/business location description. I have been updating and adding Contacts for years this way,.. can I no longer do this?! - If so, I’m really disappointed that Apple would eliminate this feature from the iPhone Maps app; eliminating several options from a place description menu. 😕
