Wifi calling not working anymore
Both my wife and I have iPhone 11s. They are in great condition. We have replaced the battery on both of them. Since a recent iOS update, I'm not sure which one, but it has been this year. The Wi-Fi calling is intermittent. Every morning we have to either turn off and reboot the iPhone or cycle through Airplane mode to receive or place a phone call over Wi-Fi. If we do not do this the call being placed automatically fails and if someone calls us it sends them to voicemail without ringing the phone. The phones have worked great until that update. Cellular signal in our home is poor and we rely on Wi-Fi calling. Both phones have been updated to the newest iOS 17. Is their a solution to this problem? There is no problem with with Wi-Fi or routers. My daughter has an older iPhone 6 and her Wi-Fi calling works fine. my son also has an iPhone 14 and he has no problem. The problem is only with the two iPhone 11s. We are all on the same cellular carrier. It seems as if apple is forcing us to upgrade to newer phones. Is this a known problem and is a solution on the horizon?
