Wi-Fi Calling woes

I have an iPhone 13 Pro Max. I live in an area with poor cellular coverage, but with wi-fi calling it's okay. My problem is that wi-fi calling fails sometimes, and I don't know it has failed. It fails on my phone, and on other devices. I am a T-Mobile customer. I have wi-fi calling enabled and have been using it for at least ten years. Something seems to have happened recently to break it.

I am on iOS 15.6.1. I have an Eero mesh network, have had it five years.

What fixes it is to turn off wi-fi on my phone and turn it back on again. Simple enough, but I don't know it's not working and I get complaints that I don't answer my phone (because it doesn't ring).

The only thing I can think of is that I go to our clubhouse which has wi-fi, and my phone connects to it without my doing anything. Then when I come home I seem to have the problem. Wi-fi works on the phone for email and apps and everything else.

Is anyone else having this issue?

Hello Jim McDonough,

Let's complete the steps listed below that are also listed at the bottom of this article here: Make a call with Wi-Fi Calling - Apple Support to resolve the issue.

If you can't turn on or use Wi-Fi Calling, make sure that your carrier offers Wi-Fi Calling and that your devices have the latest software. Then, follow these steps if you can't turn on Wi-Fi Calling or make a Wi-Fi call. Wait two minutes before you go from one step to the next.
1. Go to Settings > Phone > Wi-Fi Calling and make sure that Wi-Fi Calling is on.
2. Restart your iPhone.
3. Connect to a different Wi-Fi network. Not all Wi-Fi networks work with Wi-Fi Calling.
4. Turn Wi-Fi Calling off and then on again.
5. Go to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset, and tap Reset Network Settings.

Best regards

Troubleshooting Low-WiFi Signal:

Use a Range Extender:

I've never come across this issue, but see if using a range extender to amplify the Wi-Fi signal does the trick. Get one on Amazon or at your local retailer.
