Can't add Battery widget to iPhone 14 Pro lock screen

To add the Battery widget to my iPhone 14 Pro lock screen, I try the following:

On the Lock Screen, click Customize, then select Lock Screen.

Click the widget box to display Add Widgets. Click Batteries.

In the Batteries window, there are only options for my Apple Watch. There appears to be no option to choose my iPhone.

I know that there is a small indicator of battery level in the upper right of the Lock Screen, but I'd like a larger display for the battery if possible.

thanks for contacting the support community’s the simplest way to deal with this is kind of hidden

go to the Lock Screen hold the wallpaper tap customize tap on the widgets add the batteries then tap on the added batteries widget then u should see some options turn of automatic and u should get a device list

I tested this on my iPhone SE and I see the same behavior. I can only add a widget that shows the Apple Watch. If I turn off my watch, the iPhone’s battery info will show.

Thanks, Lyssa, for testing on your iPhone SE. After reading your reply, I experimented with turning off my Apple Watch, and then repeating the process of trying to add the Battery widget to my iPhone 14 Pro. With Watch turned off, I could see and add the iPhone battery widget to my Lock Screen. But as soon as I turn on the Watch, the iPhone battery widget is replaced by the Watch battery widget.

Incidentally, I successfully displayed the iPhone battery widget on the Lock Screen for many months. Then yesterday I bought an Apple Watch, which is when I started to experience this problem.
