Shut Down interrupted

When I ask my iMac running Ventura 13.6.1 to shut down, popup says install is in progress. In the Dock the icon says StatefulFirewall is installing. I didn't request that and can't tell what app is doing it. Could be McAfee for T-Mobile? Have to hold ON button to shut down manually.

Stateful firewall install I can’t shut down my Mac due to a stateful firewall instal message. Nor can I do any updates to other apps as it says install in progress. I can’t force quit either as it keeps popping up and won’t shut down. Someone suggested removing Macafee. I have just renewed my subscription. If I do this, do I need other virus protection? It’s a sole use home laptop Mac book air. Thanks

Stateful Firewall Installation Each time I turn off my MacMini I get the prompt that "StatefulFirewall is being installed. Interrupting the installation may damage your computer. You can restart when the installation is complete." Yet I can't force-quit the installation. Here is a screenshot of the same. Is this a needed installation? How do I successfully force-quit it?

Just uninstall McAfee, i did it and now it's solved.

None is needed. macOS has more than adequate protections built in.

Remove any McAfee products you have installed or attempted to install. They are completely worthless on a Mac and will do nothing but cause problems.
