Can’t uninstall webroot from MacBook Pro

I can’t remove or uninstall webroot from my MacBook. It won’t go to stay in the trash.

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 14.0

I have an expired subscription and when I try to move to trash, it says "cannot be moved to trash because it is open". Webroot reopening every few seconds on my MacBook Pro. Webroot opening a new windows every few second. Webroot reopening every few seconds on my MacBook Pro. Couldn't stop it or do anything else. Found instructions with my iPhone browser to force close and reopen with shift key pressed and it opened in Safe Mode. Should I uninstall web root or do I have a virus that is causing the problem?

How to remove searchmine.net from my Mac? I updated my Mac this morning and after restarting, chrome was replaced with searchmine.net. How do I remove it? Most of the answers I’ve found say to go to system preferences, but I see system settings instead. I am far from techie and don’t know what a “suspicious” launch agent or application looks like.

I believe the app must be uninstalled from within the app.

This from the Webroot site > Uninstall Webroot on a Mac.

I tried it and it says it has to be uninstalled from the web console. I think I may have to have my business IT people uninstall it. :(
