How to use the "Find" feature on iPad

I recently bought an AirTag and on my iPhone the “Find Nearby” button appears. It then tells me its location, such as “turn right in 3 ft”. But when I try the same thing on my iPad, there is only a “Directions” button instead of the Find button. How can I use that feature on my iPad too?
