iOS 17 Carplay Music app stuck in dark mode
Since iOS 17 upgrade, the Music app in Carplay is stuck in dark mode. The other main apps, Maps/Messages etc. are all light (during the day, headlights off) in two different cars, a new-ish Chrysler 300 and an older BMW 3-series. So it's not the cars.
See screen caps from BMW. Both taken within a few seconds, you can see the time stamp and it was still broad daylight here. Again, the cars did not have the lights on. The Maps app is light, the Music is dark.
It's very difficult to see and navigate in dark mode during the day, esp. as the BMW is too old to have a touchscreen; I can only use the iDrive controller. It's been working fine for years. Adjusting the dash lights brightness does nothing, and neither does turning on the headlights. There is no option to turn off cover art in the Carplay settings on the phone, nor in the settings in Carplay.
I restarted the phone. No change. It's a 13 Pro Max, iOS 17.0.3. This behavior did not occur on iOS 16.
