iCloud Keychain for Chrome shows "This extension requires macOS Sonoma to be installed" when Sonoma is installed

When I try to load the iCloud Keychain for Chrome extension it shows me "This extension requires macOS Sonoma to be installed". I am running macOS Sonoma 14.0 (23A344).

I have tried removing and re-adding the extension, using a different profile on Chrome, and even installing Google Chrome Beta, nothing works.

It does work on another MacBook of mine on the same Google Chrome profile.

Has anyone seen anything like this?

MacBook Pro 14″, macOS 14.0

Same here. But in my case it did work. For some reasons (known to me) I removed Chrome two times and lastly installed it back. This time it started to show this message… nothing I tried helped. Says it’s missing some files (turned on error reporting for this extension) but that’s too deep for me to understand… and lastly, having another MacOS machine where everything works fine 😔
