Camera to macbook

I have a canon 90D DSLR camera and I want to look at photos from the camera on my MacBook without downloading them. I have a mini HDMI cable from the camera connected to a USB-C port on the MacBook but the computer is not recognizing the camera.

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 11.7

Getting Devices to Be Seen:

(Applies to Intel-Based Macs Only) Sometimes when changes are made to the system(i.e. updates), system configurations (i.e. for Ports) become manipulated, technically. So, reset the SMC and NVRAM.  (Applies to Intel-Based Macs Only)

  • Boot into Safe Mode:

When you boot into Safe Mode, items load by default, with certain settings and caches set aside. Go here: Start up your Mac in safe mode - Apple Support

  • Create a New Administrator:

See if creating and logging in as a new administrator does the trick. There may be something misconfigured in your current user - something that is getting in the way. Go to: System Preferences > Users & Groups > Unlock > Click: "+" > Create the new administrator
