Stuck at "other" user at login after reseting my MacBook Air

MacBook Air 13″ 2020 Intel i3

I recently attempted to factory reset my macbook by erasing the APPLE SSD via the terminal in the utilities of the MacOS recovery system. Then I reinstalled MacOS and it reinstalled MacOS Catalina. Now when I attempt to activate the macbook, it brings me to the welcome page, setting up in English and then connecting to wifi. But after that, I am stuck at the login screen with the only user being "other". It prompts a login asking for username and password which I don't have.

Hi there,

Please see this link and follow the instructions provided to see if this will solve your issues

Hope this works for you!

PS: If you really have a 2020 MacBook Air this one can Run the latest macOS, Sonoma. So you won't need to use Catalina
