Re: Safari Mail not loading body of message immediately

Two or three Safari updates ago, I noticed that when I opened an email, the contents did not appear immediately; I had to wait up to three minutes. I received two separate info messages at different times which was telling me the problem along with a vague (to me) solution:

  1. Your Network preferences prevent content from loading privately;
  2. Unable to load remote content privately

I have tried a few things, but nothing corrects this. I have disconnected my Express VPN when I visit my mail, just in case. I am using Monterey 12.7. Any advice will be appreciated

Safari is not your email app ... Mail is your email app and they are completely separate.

A VPN can definitely cause system disruptions. What you'll find here is advice to uninstall it completely unless you are required to use one by a school, employer or etc.

The generally suggested fix for errant mail accounts is to remove the account completely and recreate it from scratch using the latest credentials from the web mail provider. I suggest you do that.

Mail is little more than a portal that allows local control of a web mail service. if the local app faults, your email will always be available on the mail provider's website unless there is a problem there. mail.yahoo.com for example.
