Alarm widget shows “alarm off” even when an alarm is set?

I have the iPhone 15 pro and the latest iOS update 17.0.3 and even when an alarm in sleep schedule is set, the alarm widget shows no alarm set which is annoying because I have to double check it is on prior to going to sleep at night and almost renders the widget useless!

I think it may be intentional. It seems that if the alarm is more than 21 hours away, it will not show on the lock screen. For example, right now it's 10:30am as I type this. If I set an alarm for 7:30am tomorrow, it will show on the lock screen. But if I set it for any time later, it will not show up for a while. If I check three or more hours later, the alarm time will finally show on the lock screen.

This seems intentional and frankly really annoying. I feel like if I set my alarm, it should show on the lock screen no matter what time it is today. But for the most part, as long as I check my screen before bed, I know it will be there and can be assured that I did set an alarm for the morning.

Hey thekennydowd,

Did you tried restarting your device to see if it helps? Restart your iPhone - Apple Support

Also, make sure that your device is updated to the latest version: Update your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

Update your iPhone or iPad wirelessly

1. Back up your device using iCloud or your computer.
2. Plug your device into power and connect to the internet with Wi-Fi.
3. Go to Settings > General, then tap Software Update.
4. If you see more than one software update option available, choose the one that you want to install.
5. Tap Install Now. If you see Download and Install instead, tap it to download the update, enter your passcode, then tap Install Now. If you don't know your passcode, learn what to do.

We hope this helps!

Best regards.
