Navigating among notes in Notes app

On the iPad, other than scrolling through the list on notes in the Notes app, is there another way to jump to the first note in the list of notes in the left panel? I have thousands of notes, and sometimes I may be viewing an old note near the bottom of the list and wish to jump to the top of the list. Scrolling up through hundreds or thousands of notes to get to the top is inconvenient.
