Preview Buggy in Sonoma

I recently "upgraded" to Sonoma. I have immediately encountered all kinds of problems with Preview that I did not have before.

Zooming large TIFF files is painfully slow. This was not a problem previously.

I m getting frequent crashes when I resize image files.

MacBook Pro 16″, macOS 14.0

Sonoma Issue: Preview not saving edits to images Hi, everyone! I just updated to Sonoma overnight and this morning I've been working with a few images in Preview. When I resize them to 150x150 (pixels) (a smaller file size than the original), I get the response "This file cannot be saved." I have been able to download and save files to my Downloads folder, so it's not locked. I haven't attempted to make any other edits using Preview except Duplicate, which works. This issue (so far) seems to be only occurring after editing the image itself when saving. TIA for any help or insights!

Two Problems Using Preview....used to be speedy when searching in a PDF large document. Now with Ventura is very slow....almost not usable. Photos: The new cropping tools are not as good as the old ones....and frequently (even when Photos is the only program open) edits are not saved or perhaps it takes a long time? This is real down-grade from the previous version. Has anyone else noticed these things?

How do I name/rename Files in preview without any issues? Whenever I do a screenshot and it opens in the Preview App I used to be able to just name the file by clicking on the title bar where the name is currently Untitled and type in a new name and click out of the box. Now I type a new name in and it disappears half the time and reverts to what it was like Untitled. It does the same thing if I try to rename a previously saved image or change the location. It just often reverts back to the old name/location. If I press enter after typing the new name/location it seems to stick more often but still fails a lot. It started after the last big update. Same here on a Mac Studio M1 Max: a Preview of a 11K x 18K pixel 1200 DPI tiff is initially rendered blurry and it takes ages to show it unblurred (which occurs block by block). On Affinity Photo 2 (or even old Photoshop Elements 2022) it is rendered immediately... No such issue on Ventura.
