Fitness app on phone doesn’t match fitness app on Apple watch

I am having the same issue. I've reset the watch, logged out of and logged back into iCloud, and still no luck seeing friend data on the watch. I can see it on the phone though. I've also removed a friend (from the phone) and invited them back (from the watch) but they never received the invite. If I invite them through the phone they get it, but I still can't see them on the watch.
