Does Apple TV (AVPlayer) supports HEVC video with Fairplay DRM?

We tried playing the HEVC video stream in the web client via Safari (v16.4), and all we saw was a white screen with no audio but closed captions were visible.

While playing Apple TV (tvOS v16.3), the player (AVPlayer) is being constantly rebuffed.

So does Apple TV supports HEVC video with the Fairplay DRM encyption?
