I have over 50 albums on my iPhone 14 IOS 17.0.2, which will play with no problem. But when I use CarPlay only 20 of them show on the car display. If I list the artists they are all there and if I tap the artist the album is displayed.

This happens wired (my car doesn't connect wireless).
My phone is on the latest up date IOS 17.0.3.
I have restarted it numerous times.
I have also gone into settings, CarPlay car, Forget this car and repaired it with my car.
It has mad no difference.

I'm not driving and this happens and there is no "More" at bottom of screen.

Does this issue happen when connecting wirelessly, as well as with a cable?
It may be necessary to download the desired music to make it available for offline play: Add music to iPhone and listen offline - Apple Support
It may also help to update your car system and iPhone. Also try restarting before connecting again to check for your music:

The exact same thing happens to me.
I have added albums to my library and favorited them.
So far only 4 albums, but they show on my iPhone 13 mini running iOS 17.1.2. Only one of the albums show in CarPlay when looking in Library > Favorites > Albums.
This is very inconsistent behaviour.

We appreciate that additional info, it really helps! To clarify, were you previously able to see more than the 20 options listed? We ask because mentioned in Play music with CarPlay - Apple Support: "On some systems, Now Playing displays only a partial list of choices while you’re driving. To choose among options not in the list, select More at the bottom of the screen, or use Siri by pressing and holding the voice command button on your steering wheel."
