airpods wont connect to iphone 15 pro

Got the same issue. Just bought the fresh 15 pro max and it won't connect to my airpods pro 2. "connection failed" over and over. the buds are easily connectable to the older iphone models. idk why, that's sad

I had this same issue. One fix for me was resetting my network settings. You go to settings then general and go all the way down to transfer or reset IPhone. Click that and then hit reset. A few options will pop up and then hit the “reset network settings”. It will reset and then turn back on the phone and mine worked after that. Hope this helps.

Can anyone else who's experiencing the same issue confirm if they see the message 'Not your Airpods' on the pairing screen? To see this message, you'll need to reset the AirPods, remove them from your other devices, and attempt to pair them again.

How do you update if you can’t connect them to your phone??

I had a rude awakening this morning at the apple store. My Airpods 3rd Gen would not connect to my iPhone 15 Pro Max. I went to the apple store and they informed me that the Airpods I had were fake, and they were a good fake (with a serial number and everything, I had them for 2 months and had no idea they were fake until now). I bought them on eBay. IF YOUR AIRPODS WILL NOT CONNECT TO IPHONE 15, THERE IS A GOOD CHANCE YOUR AIRPODS ARE FAKE. That being said, I went and bought an authentic pair of Airpods from Verizon, and guess what... They pair instantly on my iPhone 15 Pro Max and work perfectly fine now. Might want to go to an Apple Store and they will verify if your Airpods are actually real.

Any update on your issues? I’m having the same problem. Won’t connect to the 15 pro max but works with my 13 pro max and iPad..

Anyone found a fix yet? I have tried multiple resets but don’t fix the issue

I can pair other Bluetooth headphones to 15 pro max except AirPods gen 3 & 2

same AirPods can be paired to wife’s 12 pro max, sons 14+ etc.

My AirPods I bought in 2020 will connect but won’t play and won’t stay connected. Why won’t they work?

Thank you for reaching out in Apple Support Communities. There are steps available that can help connect a set of AirPods when they're unable to connect to your iPhone. Our recommendation is for you to follow these helpful steps:

If you can't connect to your iPhone or iPad

1. Update your iPhone or iPad to the latest version of iOS or iPadOS.

2. Put both AirPods in the charging case and make sure that both AirPods are charging.

3. To make sure that Bluetooth is on, go to Settings > Bluetooth.

4. If your AirPods are connected, make sure that they're selected as your audio device. If your AirPods appear in the list of devices but they don't connect, go to the next step.

5. Close the lid, wait 15 seconds, then open the lid.

6. Press and hold the setup button on the back of the charging case for up to 10 seconds. The status light on the front of the charging case should flash white, which means that your AirPods are ready to connect.

7. Hold the charging case, with your AirPods inside and the lid open, next to your iPhone or iPad.

8. Follow the steps on the screen of your iPhone or iPad.

9. If you still can't connect, reset your AirPods or contact Apple Support.

I’ve been having the same issue with my iPhone 15 Pro not connecting to my AirPods Pro. What helps me is power cycling the phone. The AirPods will connect at least once before going back to the original issue. I’ve had Apple support look at my AirPods and determined they are working fine.

Me too, iPhone 15 pro connected to old AirPod pros for first 4 weeks or so, last week they stopped connecting, doesn’t even pop up as device in Bluetooth - says ‘accessory’ and pairing times out. Fully charged AirPods, reset, held down button to pair, nope nothing. Would be great if Apple can explain the problem? And why now, was fine for first 4 weeks of new iPhone 15 pro. Thanks

This doesn’t work. I have had 2 hours on the phone with tech support and they cannot fix it they connect to my iPhone 13 and iPhone 8 and my Samsung but won’t with work this new iPhone 15. Very disappointing

If this is still happening to anyone, since it happened to me and I fixed it by just fully turning off my phone and then turning it on. Once it was powered on I tried connecting my airpods and it worked!

Same issue for me 3rd gen AirPods will connect to any other phone but my new iPhone 15 pro. Says connection failed. Beats work fine just the AirPods and I have tried two different AirPod sets. Same result.
