iPad OS Music App is terrible...

I recently upgraded to iPad OS 16.6 and the changes to the Music app are terrible. Soundcheck over Airplay is completely broken, not respecting the manual volume adjustments. There is no longer the confirmation when you have queued songs. So if you spent time setting up a queue, and you accidentally tap on a song while scrolling it just starts playing with no confirmation.

Hi PPGMD,

With regards to the Sound Check feature over AirPlay, to clarify are you unable to adjust the volume once AirPlay has started?

As to changes to playlist and queued songs, if there's tweaks to how the Music app works that you want to see reverted, we can recommend leaving feedback here:

Let us know more details as to the AirPlay volume issue and we'll follow up.

Cheers!

That has nothing to do with the issue. The app just manually adjusts the volume adjustment that is in the Mac OS Music app. The issue is that the iPad 16.6 is ignoring the Soundcheck controlled volume for Airplay. I turn Soundcheck on or off with no changes in volume. I cleared the volume adjustments too. Soundcheck on Airplay is just plain broken.

Also the issue is unique to iPad OS 16, as a last ditch I just updated the iPad OS 17 and Soundcheck on Airplay works again. Which is typically modern Apple.
