IOS17 satellite view gone on iMessage

using iMessage locations for my kids and now the satellite view is gone with new update. Please fix this

Find my friends satellite view and live updates gone ios17 Has anyone figured out how to turn on satellite view in iMessage when looking at a friend’s location? I also am looking to go back to a real time live view that shows the person moving. Both of these were features in ios16 so not sure why ios17 would remove these.

It used to be through the Find My app, but now that doesn't change it in the imessage app. Even tried toggling it back and forth in the Find My app as well as Maps.

I suggest that you submit feedback to Apple:

Note that iOS 17 is not yet an option for selection in the drop down menu. Just make sure it's in the text box.
