Error occurred (4). 060D.001C

Hello, I‘m getting this error (4) 060D.001C when I try to recover an iPad Air 2 and I can’t find anyway to fix it. It’s very strange because I cannot find also any kind of information about this error. Just found only one topic on this forum with the same problem and the answer contained some link with unnecessary information. Can someone post some useful information on this? Is the problem about hardware or software? Is there anyway to solve the recovery? Thank you very much! Sorin

Hello Jeff,

sorry, I thought somebody will come with something more intelligent and useful. All the points you enumerated I found already online by a simple search. And I tried already all of them and nothing worked. Actually the iPad is dark, it’s not possible to restart it. Only when I try to restore it, either from Mac or Windows computer with iTunes, I got the apple logo and I see that something is tried... After that, on the restore computer the error from the title will be shown. What does this error means??? And how can be fixed, concretely? I don’t think that it’s an unknown error and precisely I’m not the only one who got it.

thanks again for useful information and advice.

Sorin

Hi sorin229,

It sounds like you're seeing an error when trying to restore your iPad. When you see an error during the restore process, it's best to start by trying these suggestions:

"1. Update your Mac or PC

Update your Mac. Or if you have a PC, get updates from Microsoft. If you're using iTunes, make sure that you have the latest version of iTunes.

2. Plug your device directly into your computer

Plug your iPhone, iPad, or iPod directly into your computer's USB port (not into an attached keyboard or USB hub). Make sure that the cable is in good condition.

Make sure that your device is unlocked. If prompted, trust your device.

If you still see an error alert, try a different Apple USB cable or switch to a different USB port on your computer.

3. Restart your computer and your device

Turn off your computer, then turn it on again. Next, restart your device.

4. Check your computer’s security software

You might need to update, change, or uninstall software that could be interfering with your computer's connection with iTunes.

5. Use a different computer

Update or restore your device on another computer that uses a different network."
