All of the sudden, when I receive text messages, my watch only shows the number and not the Contact name as it always has in the past. Have contacted apple support, got nowhere. Tried the reset like all the info I found online said to do, nada. I've reset it, I've re-sync'd it, I've restarted both, not sure what else to do or why this is happening.
I did notice around this time that some of my messages were showing my email in iMessage, so I went and unchecked my email so it's only my number...maybe that could be why? The watch needs that email setting on also in order to sync those contacts? I dunno just trying to come up with something.
Have you tried going to the Watch app on your phone, General>Reset>Reset Sync Data?
yes I did that also several times, nothing changed. After that I unpaired it from the phone, reset all settings and started over, still nothing. Weird that it's' only showing some and not all.
I don't know, either. I did have this problem once or twice years ago. But resyncing the data resolved it.
