Small white arrow on top bar - MacBook M1 Pro

This white arrow suddenly appeared.


Already tried these, but didn't help:

  1. Checked if I have any app installed that could be causing this. Closed all the apps, didn't work
  2. External device connected (wirelessly)
  3. Restarted my laptop


Laptop software is up to date Ventura 13.5.1, Any idea what could be causing this?

MacBook Pro 14″, macOS 13.5

I had it also this evening.

Google Chrome was asking to "Complete Update", so I did: and the white arrow is gone.

Weird or what?

It is unclear if this is Safari app only....


Did you shutdown completely and restart?

log in and test reboot as normal and test.
