No Login Items, Powered off and back on with "Re-open windows" off, Apps still open

Using:

MacOS v. 12.6.8

Monterey MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2016, Four Thunderbolt 3 Ports)

Apps that still load on startup:

Spotify,

Apps Anywhere,

Anydesk

No Login Items, Powered off and back on with "Re-open windows" off, Apps still open.

Why?

How to fix?

How do i view logs to see startup / what happens during boot?

Is it possible that apps can write themself to a path for startup that Login Items can't remove them from?

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 12.6

Some applications have their own settings for starting at login. Look in the Settings for those three if there is something to that effect. I don’t use these particular applications, so I can’t test.

Thank you, had a look into this and now I’m realising I understand the other similar answers 😅.

surely there must be a way to prevent this though? An app by any developer can just run its self at startup without letting the user know? Crazy

If it was in the App Store, then it must have an option to disable it. All other apps should, also, but that's what you get.
