Freeform on iPad Suddenly Missing Connectors Toggle

On macOS, the Freeform app has Connectors and Grid toggles at the lower right corner on the window. I seem to recall these were also on the iPad version of the app, but are suddenly missing. See the screenshots for what I'm talking about. Is anyone experiencing this? Any idea how to get those toggles back or to otherwise turn on "Connectors" on the iPad?
