Facetime call history only shows iPhone regular call history, not just Facetime calls

Facetime on my new MacBook Pro (13.5) shows my entire call history from my iPhone SE (16.6) phone calls. I want it to show only my Facetime calls, the same way Facetime on my iPad (7th gen, 16.6) does.

How can I get that to happen?

That recent call list on my MacBook Pro also shows me only the phone numbers, not their names, which is useless. Who remembers phone numbers these days?

Thanks for responding, TammyW, but I'm not sure what you have recommended will do what I want.

I like having phone call history (though I wish Apple did it like Android). The problem is that Facetime, on both my iPhone SE and my iPad, shows only Facetime calls but on my MacBook Pro, it shows the phone call history. It also shows Facetime calls, but they are embedded in the phone call history. I don't want to get rid of my call history, I just don't want it to show up on Facetime on my MacBook Pro. Is there a way to do that?

Thank you for the directions for getting my contact names showing--I do in fact use a 3rd party app for contacts.

Thanks again.

Hey iKaitlynnS,

Thanks for participating in Apple Support Communities. It sounds like you have iCloud Drive turned on, which does keep your call history updated across your devices as shown in the "How to delete call history" section here: View and delete the call history on your iPhone - Apple Support

For your call history showing only phone numbers and not the names, where do you store your contacts? If they're stored with a third-party account, you'll want to be sure that account is also added to your Mac. Here's how: Add contacts from iCloud, Google, and more to Contacts on Mac - Apple Support

You can see which accounts you're using on your iPhone by using these steps: Use other contact accounts on iPhone - Apple Support

Let us know what you find.

Take care!
