Problem Previewing Music on iTunes

I have a 2019 desktop Mac, running Ventura 13.5.1, and the Music app is version 1.3.6.14. For a couple of weeks now, I've been unable to preview songs in iTunes. I subscribe to Apple Music, and I have no problems playing through that program, whether downloaded to the Mac or streaming. But when I click the button to preview a song in iTunes, the song appears as if it is getting ready to play, but no sound comes out, and the progress bar remains motionless. This is the latest version of Ventura and Music, and I have rebooted both the program and Mac multiple times. Has anyone else seen this, and is there a fix anyone is aware of ? Thanks in advance.
