Airpods volume safe guard

Why does Apple not have a volume limiter for airpods or any real way to control them. Wired headphone have a safety setting you can setup but airpods do not. I am sick to death of getting my ears blown out due to them having notifications at max volume. I have set the volume of the ringer and notifications to change with the volume buttons but this does not help. I know lots of other users of airpods who also complain about this problem. I have owned 2 sets of airpods now and I am going to need to replace my current set soon due to broken microphones. I am not inclined at this point to buy another pair due to this issue.

Hello dragon7rage,

AirPods do have hearing safety features that you can access by going into SettingsSoundsHeadphone Safety on your Apple device. You can enable the volume limiter, and have a notification when the sound is too loud.

See here: Use headphone audio level features on iPhone

Hope that helps!
